Mood: waiting for wind
7th March 2009
Windsurfing: Pevensey Bay
Wind Direction: SW- WSW
Wind Stength: 10-15 knots gusty
Surf / Sea State: flat !!
Air Temperature: 10 deg C
Sea Temperature: chilly
Weather: overcast at times, but dry and bright others
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Another Bay meetup, with VFW Mark, Baydrew and Gutted making a rare excursion to the beach.
Wind was up to start with but looked gusty so opted for the 10'5 with 6.3m initially with a view to dropping down to the Freewave 104 if wind steadied.
Planed off the beach and had a few fun runs before it dropped slightly. Came in to find the riff raff on the beach still rigging, and it seems cursed the wind. In truth it was the tide turning coinciding with the lull.
Tide turning meant there would be a rip running too, so stuck with the 10'5 for the duration while the others went all freeride blasty.
Pretty up and down overall, just a shame it was so flat as would have had loadsa fun if there were some waves to play on !! Made a change to practice tacks etc.
Looks like proper wind is on it's way .... wooohoooo
